Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station with a total investment of 4 billion U.S. dollars, is the first large-scale commercial nuclear power station in China. And it is also one of the biggest Sino-foreign joint ventures with the introduction of foreign capital, equipment and technology in the history of  China' s reform and opening up to the outside world.
Facing Daya Bay, back on Paiya Mountain, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station is located to the east of Shenzhen City. With 60 square kilometers in the area and two PWR reactor units with each capacity of 984MWe installed, the power station was a construction of joint venture invested by Guangdong Electric Power Corporation and Hongkong Zhonghua Electric Power Co.,Ltd.

Guangdong Nuclear Power Investment Co. Ltd. and Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Co. Ltd. formed Guangdong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company, established in 1985, And it is in charge of the construction and operation of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station.

The Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station project officially start up on August 7th, 1987 and two electric generating sets were  put into commercial operation separately on February 1st and May 6th in the year 1994.The annual generating capacity of the nuclear power station is more than 10 billion KWH,with 70% of the electricity supply in Hong Kong, 30% in Guangdong.

The power station is the  biggest  power station  in  China. And  it won the prize——"1994 Power Plant Award" evaluated by the international power magazine published  in the United States  and became one of  the five  winners  in  the award and the only  power station  from  China.

In the bidding of LOT12D BOP modular air handling unit and ancillary equipment in the 2nd phase project of Ling' ao nuclear power station, Shenling company became the successful bidder relying on its strong competitiveness, with a tender price of  more than 20 million.
